Georgia Tech 2016-17 Admission Process Updates

Early Action Deadline

Our Early Action deadline is October 15. A few important reminders:

- Early Action is non-binding.

- We accept the Common Application.

- There are two Georgia Tech supplemental questions.

- Don’t fret about the early deadline! Counselors may send student transcripts and recommendation letters as soon as available following the student application deadline.

- Students interested in the Stamps President’s Scholarship, Honors Program, and Scheller Dean’s and Faculty Merit Scholarships must apply during Early Action for consideration.

Lessons From Feeling Mediocre

Our students are our greatest strength. While many are known for their acumen in STEM, they are great communicators, too. Check out this blog post by rising junior Kamesh Darisipudi. We think it may help you as you talk to students this year about the college admission process.

Stance on Standardized Tests

While we require applicants to submit at least one test score, we do not have a preference between SAT and ACT. Like you, we are not rushing to judgment as the first few “new” tests are scored. It will take time to view trends and build correlations. We’ll continue to work alongside you to put testing in proper perspective within our holistic review process.
