Hawk Preview March 30–31

College fit is an important consideration for admitted students. We offer customized visits for admitted students as a window into life at Illinois Tech. Our Hawk Preview Visit is designed for admitted students to see if Illinois Tech is right for them. Hawk Preview Visit takes place on Thursday, March 30 and Friday, March 31.

Award Letters Coming Soon

Our Office of Financial Aid mailed award letters to FAFSA filers this month. Students can still submit the FAFSA and should take advantage of our outside scholarship spreadsheet. Students can call or email their admission counselors with questions about their awards or concerns about financing their Illinois Tech education.

Improving the Financial Situation of Rising Students

Rising juniors and seniors can take steps now to improve their financial situation when applying. They should opt into honors and AP STEM classes (especially pre-calculus and physics), retake the ACT or SAT, maintain A’s and B’s, and ask a STEM teacher to write their recommendation. They can also start researching Illinois Tech Scholarships and private outside scholarships on our spreadsheet.

High School Spring Break Visits

We will welcome high school students on spring break to visit campus for informational sessions during the weeks of March 27, April 3, and April 10. Call 312.597.5189 or email to register! Admission counselors will take to the road this month, so check out when we’re visiting you, too!

Scholarship Symposium Recap

Last month we welcomed hundreds of students to campus to interview for our top undergraduate scholarships during Scholarship Symposium. Scholars were notified of selection on February 21 and should check their email accounts for their scholarship decision. Congratulations to our newest Camras, Duchossois, and Crown Scholars!

Summer Opportunities on Campus

We love to see applicants who spend summer months exploring their interests. High school students can take advantage of a number of programs and courses on campus. They can learn more and apply here.
