Winter Break Hours
The Office of Admission and the University will observe winter break from December 21-January 2. We will re-open on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. We hope you have a safe and happy holiday season, and we look forward to working with you in the New Year!

Notification Timelines for First Year Fall Applicants

Early Action/Early Decision
Decisions were released on December 15

Film Production
Decisions will begin to be released in mid-February

Regular Decision
Decisions will begin to be released in mid-March

Dance, Theatre Performance & Screen Acting applicants who are auditioning in 2018 will hear back soon after completing their in-person audition.

When an Admission Decision is Ready

Once an admission decision is ready, the applicant will receive an email (similar to the example shown here) prompting them to log in to their Admission Status Page. The applicant will be able to view their admission decision here. Admitted students will receive an admission packet in the mail soon after their status page notification. If you are unable to log in – use the “forgot password” link on your Admission Status Login Page.

Early Decision Enrollment Deposit due January 10
As a reminder, if you were admitted as an Early Decision applicant, you are obligated to enroll at Chapman University! The enrollment deposit deadline for Early Decision candidates is January 10th. Please also promptly withdraw your applications to other colleges and universities in which you applied.

Call to Action for Applicants Rolled to Regular Decision
As a reminder, if you have received notification that your application was rolled to the Regular Decision admission cycle – either due to an incomplete file, or as part of the admission committee review process – you must complete and submit the roll to regular response form by January 15th. Failure to do so will result in the closure of your application.

Please keep our office updated on any changes to the status of your application! If you wish to respond to your offer of admission (accept or decline), or withdraw your application you may do so by logging into your Admission Status Page.

There’s Still Time to Apply for the Fall Semester

First year applicants for the fall semester have until January 15 to submit their application and required documents. Applicants interested in DanceFilm ProductionPre-PharmacyScreen Acting or Theatre Performance, please be aware that priority is given to applicants who applied by November 1. Applications submitted at this time will be reviewed on a space-available basis.

Please note: Mid-year transcripts should be sent after final exams have been completed with your updated grades posted to your transcript.

Students who have applied or are planning to apply to a talent program must submit a Creative Supplement in addition to the Common Application and other required documents. Without submitting a Creative Supplement, your application will remain incomplete and will not be reviewed by the Admission Committee.

Mid Year Report and Transcript
If you applied Regular Decision or were rolled to Regular Decision, ask your counselor to submit the Mid Year Report via the Common Application along with your updated transcript once your first term, semester, or trimester grades are posted. If your school has year-long courses with no grades until the end of the year, we require some form of mid-year evaluation of your academic progress.

Looking to Interview?
Chapman offers the opportunity for high school seniors to take advantage of an optional interview with one of our Admissions Fellows. This is your chance to make a connection with a current student, get your questions answered and have our admission staff get to know you a little better. We offer the opportunity to interview in-person, via phone or Skype.

NOTE: Interview options are available to both Regular Decision applicants and students who were rolled to the Regular Decision admission cycle.
