I’m writing to tell you about a helpful new resource from Siena College. “3 Reasons Why Being Undecided is a Smart Choice” is a guide for students (and parents) who are unsure about entering college without a declared major. Answering the question “Is it okay not to have a major,?” this guide provides an inside look at why Siena’s undecided students thrive. Click here to preview.
Also, I would like to invite you to join our live video chat for undecided students and parents on Wednesday, March 25 at 7:00 p.m.
Led by Dr. Peter Ellard, Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs for Student Retention and Success, the chat will include students from all three schools who entered Siena as undecided and will cover topics like:
- How important is choosing a major to my future career?
- Will I still graduate on time?
- How do I declare a major?
- Is it better to start somewhere else and then transfer in with a major?
I hope undecided students will join us!
Registration is at videochat.siena.edu.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the undecided guide or chat. I’d love to be a resource!
